Personally developed and maintained websites for Kathleen C Thompson (author), First Take Recording Studio, Stripling Warrior Music, Moon Light (nationally known piano-violin duo), Dan Whitley Music, and Jazz artist Jacob Veloo leading to increased clientele and revenue. Assisted clients with IT Support in person or remotely. Effectively trained and consulted clients on consumer and professional electronics including computer systems (Mac and PC). Composed and produced promotional music for major software developer, Sorenson Media, and international real estate company, Coldwell Banker Previews International. Organized and directed mid to large scale professional recording sessions and theatrical productions including the Project Heal Christmas Concert with the Salt Lake Pops Orchestra at the Covey Center for the Arts (2012).  Recently named Utah’s Best Engineer during the 2014 Utah Music Awards for his work on “Grenade” with Alex Boyé, Lindsey Sterling, and the Salt Lake Pops Orchestra.

Developed a business strategy to increase revenue and create employment opportunities for individuals and independent contractors throughout the graphic arts, music and publishing industries. Engineered and produced numerous projects which provided marketing and fulfillment for International Corporations and broadcasting companies. Built and maintained outstanding client relationships with numerous corporate entities. Increased revenue through sales, services, and updating system configurations. Successfully recorded and delivered projects in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Cantonese, Mandarin Chinese, Korean, German, French, Polish, and Russian. Edited audio for products targeted at international markets without assistance from translators. Engineered and produced numerous projects involving top studio musicians in the state. Personally coached performers and talents to produce marketable products sold nationally. Successfully utilized restoration software to clean and restore audio from LP’s, reels, and cassettes.

Designed, installed and maintained audio and video workstations for the Music and Dance Library and International Harp Archives. Responsible for creating workstations for students to compose, record, and transfer music and audio in various forms. Developed documentation designed to assist students and patrons in operating each workstation.

Researched and developed a successful technique to restore original Edison Diamond Discs. Implemented CEDAR to clean and restore audio which was damaged or degraded. Calibrated and maintained post production audio and video equipment.

Designed and recorded audio for The International Harp Concert Series at Libby Gardner Hall in both surround and stereo. Mastered concert CD’s for University Choral. Composed and produced music for BYU Dining Services training video used to teach employees proper sanitization methods.

Audio Engineer assigned to provide final mixes on major recording projects. Recorded and mixed music for Senator Orrin Hatch and the Jerusalem Peace Rallies (presented to the United States Congress). Recorded and produced music for performing artists: Evolution, Ike Egan, Katie Fellows, Stan Seale, Shalyn Becknell and Emma Mead. Consultant on numerous projects associated with Notable Youth Foundation. Chief Editor for several published training and music books, including String Meets Swing with Stanley M. Seale and Robert Barekyan.

IT Specialist assigned to file organization and maintenance of all computer systems utilized in studio. Installed and maintained both analog and digital recording equipment. Installed and configured MIDI in existing recording environments for the use of editing and sweetening music tracks. Designed and installed the secondary control room used for recording and editing projects.

Engineered sound for various touring groups, pageants, and events. Worked on a crew responsible for the setup and take down of platforms, trusses, lights, and sound for large events. Provided solutions to audio and video problems encountered during events. Successfully maintained positive client relationships while under extreme pressure. Engineered sound for the Merrill Osmond Benefit Concert at Southern Utah University. Recorded and mastered album for Utah Valley Children’s Choir.

Designed and engineered sound for various plays and productions. Senior Stage Manager responsible for providing excellent communication between performance groups and the technical crew. Sound designer and technical liaison for international performing group, Tibetan Monks from the Drepung Monastery. Light Board operator for The Peking Acrobats from China. Sound designer and engineer for fundraising concerts featuring Michael Ballam, James Conlee, Dallyn Bayles, Alex Boyé, and Six Miles Ahead.

Served as Musical Composer for stage productions of “King Lear,” “Hamlet,” “Macbeth,” and “Of Mice and Men” responsible for composing, producing and designing sound and music to enhance the production of each play. Taught sound design techniques to students, built sets for numerous productions.

Mentored students in sound design, engineering, and audio/visual effects for numerous productions including “The Wizard of Oz,” “Of Mice and Men,” and “Children of Eden” (featuring Dallyn Bayles).

Silverwood Home Theater

Served as audio consultant, and installed high end audio and home theater equipment. Analyzed acoustical properties of installation locations and recommended ideal speaker placement, calibrating speaker systems to provide the optimal acoustical experience to the listener.

Successfully installed Russound whole-house audio systems and other sound and lighting electronics using Type A, Type B, and Crossover wiring of RJ45 connectors and CAT-V cable. Programmed and configured projection equipment to provide the optimal viewing experience. Trained and provided support to customers for consumer and professional electronics.

Additional physical skills used include carpentry and use of power tools.

Data Entry Technician digitizing library card catalogs that use keyword and other search techniques. Performed key role to maximize productivity by writing macros developed to perform repetitive tasks successfully. Developed scripts designed to enter unique codes correctly that follow contract protocol which are performed with only a few steps and avoid possible human error.

Associate Agent representing American Family Life Assurance Company of Columbus (Aflac). Successfully contacted and introduced Aflac Supplemental Insurance to business owners and managers throughout Utah County. Implemented Aflac as part of several company’s Employee Benefit Package. Key Servicing Agent for multiple Aflac Head Quarter accounts assigned to improve relations and increase number of policyholders. Educated accounts on their health benefit options. Successfully processed claims in several accounts which lead to an improved relationship between the account and increased the number of policyholders in each account.
